Does the U7 Pro need a 2.5 GbE switch port?
No — it will run on a gigabit port. The 2.5 GbE uplink only matters once the Wi-Fi is capable of pushing past a gigabit, which needs a fast internet line and Wi-Fi 7 clients.

The U7 Pro is the Wi-Fi 7 access point most new UniFi fit-outs are specified around. It brings 6 GHz capacity and wider channels to busy offices, and it drops into an existing UniFi console alongside your U6 units.

What the U7 Pro is for
Open-plan offices, meeting-heavy floors and anywhere client density is climbing. The 6 GHz radio gives modern laptops and phones clean airtime that the 5 GHz band no longer has in busy buildings.
