What does the dedicated scanning radio actually do?
It runs Air Marshal rogue detection and RF monitoring full time, so the client radios stay serving traffic. On a busy floor that is the difference between continuous security coverage and intermittent scans.
Should we go straight to Wi-Fi 6E instead?
Only if you already have 6 GHz clients in numbers. If most devices are Wi-Fi 6, the MR46 is the sensible spend, and we will say so rather than push the newer model.
