Get these right before ordering
- Stacking cables and, on some models, stack adapters are separate line items
- Every member must run the same IOS-XE version and licence level
- Cable the stack as a ring, not a chain, so one cable failure does not split it
- Power: consider redundant supplies if the stack carries PoE devices
